Legends League Cricket and Indian Railways have announced a nationwide campaign, with the league trophy traveling on the Vande Bharat Express starting on November 8.
The trophy shall traverse seventeen states and union territories throughout the nation. According to an LLC release, this extraordinary, first-of-its-kind experience is a 15-day extravaganza that will captivate cricket fans nationwide.
It said that the nation’s fastest train network, the Vande Bharat Express, will allow fans of cricket and the sport’s legends to participate in the Legends League Cricket.
“We welcome Legends League Cricket and the legendary players on the Vande Bharat and look forward to this incredible journey of promoting sports across the nation,” Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, according to a release.
Ravi Shastri, Commissioner of Legends League Cricket said, “We are proud to partner with Indian Railways and contribute in promoting sports. The game is getting bigger each day at Legends League Cricket. With more and more players joining, we must keep the fire burning and give fans the chance to witness the best competitive cricket across the new venues. I would say that Legends are going to rock this season.”
The campaign, which will be the first of these 16 routes, starts on November 8 from New Delhi. Indian Railways has promised LLC to help promote this trip and is constantly promoting sports. This journey will involve the Indian Railways team as well as numerous union ministers. Prominent athletes from around the country will also be accompanying them.

Top Legends like Chris Gayle, S Sreesanth, and Shane Watson along with the LLC trophy will embark on a nationwide tour in the Vande Bharat Express.” said, Raman Raheja, CEO of Legends League Cricket.
Cricketing greats like Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan, Chris Gayle, Kevin Pietersen, Sreesanth, Parthiv Patel, Shane Watson, Praveen Kumar, and Jhulan Goswami, to mention a few, are the most notable additions to this special campaign. These celebrities, both domestic and foreign, will travel throughout the five railway zones—North, South, Central, East, and West—on board the Vande Bharat Express.
Speaking about this journey, Shane Watson commented, “The idea of promoting the spirit of sports in such a special way is amazing. I am very excited to be a part of such an initiative and cannot wait to share my stories with my fans.“

The dates and locations of the second Legends League Cricket edition are November 18–December 9 in Ranchi, Dehradun, Jammu, Vizag, and Surat.
The Irfan Pathan-led Bhilwara Kings and the Gautam Gambhir-led India Capitals, the reigning champions, will square off in the opening game.
The following six teams will compete for the coveted trophy: the Bhilwara Kings, Southern Super Stars, Urbanrisers Hyderabad, Gujarat Giants, Manipal Tigers, and India Capitals.
