IPL 2024 Auction: Detailed List of Unsold and Sold Players, along with an Updated Purse of Ten Teams

December 19, a total of 72 players were sold in Dubai for Rs 234.50 crore. Mitchell Starc, who sold for Rs 24.75 crore to KKR, became the most expensive buy in the history of the auction. Sameer Rizvi of Uttar Pradesh emerged as the most expensive uncapped player during the auction.

As anticipated, the IPL 2024 auction took place in Dubai on Tuesday, December 19, breaking several records and selling 72 players. With ten teams making sure they fit the last few pieces of the jigsaw puzzle, only five spots were left open.

The most expensive player in IPL auction history is Mitchell Starc, not Pat Cummins. The Kolkata Knight Riders paid Rs 24.75 crore to acquire the left-arm pacer from Australia. The World Cup-winning captain Pat Cummins was paid an incredible amount of money just hours after being acquired by SunRisers Hyderabad for Rs 20.50 crore.

In the meantime, uncapped Indian players, such as Sameer Rizvi of Uttar Pradesh, Kumar Kushagra of Jharkhand, and Shubham Dubey of Vidarbha, received enormous salaries.

After being released by RCB, India’s all-rounder Harshal Patel found a new home with Punjab Kings, who paid Rs 11.75 crore to acquire him.

The first player to be sold at the IPL Auction 2024 in Dubai was Rovman Powell. The first group of batters to be sold was Harry Brook, who went to the Delhi Capitals.

SunRisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings are engaged in a bidding war over World Cup hero Travis Head.
