India currently has the largest population in the world and is one of the fastest growing economies. The current estimate for India’s GDP for the year ending in March 2024 is 6.5%. Given the projected annual growth of over 10% in the sports industry, ASICS regards India as one of its key markets.
Over the previous five years, ASICS has hosted five accelerator programs in Europe and Japan and has formed numerous networks and business alliances with startups worldwide. Furthermore, ASICS is set to host “ASICS Innovation Pitch” in order to foster business collaborations between ASICS India and Indian startups, thereby expediting business development in the country even further.
