India to have FIFA-AIFF training academy in Odisha to train young footballers in the country

French former association football manager and FIFA’s chief of Global Football Development, Arsene Wenger has come to India to set up a FIFA-AIFF academy in Odisha.

The AIFF-FIFA talent academy launched by Odidha’s chief minister Naveen Pattnaik and Wenger, promises optimism for training young Indian footballers and contributing to the performance of Indian Football in the upcoming years.

This training academy will be the training ground for 50 players from across the country.

Wenger highlighted and emphasized the need for education and proper resources for India to develop in terms of football performance and the academy aims at reducing the gap between India and other countries by improving the quality.

AIFF president Kalyan Chaubey assures all of Indian Football coming together, including ISL, I-League, IWL clubs along with the national bodies and state associations in order to develop football in India which is an ongoing process since the last 50 years.
