Arsene Wenger, legendary coach and FIFA Chief of Global Football Development, will visit India from November 19th to November 23rd. He stated a desire to invite ISL, I-League, and football NGOs to a special session held by AIFF. Wenger is also expected to establish a FIFA-AIFF academy for U-13 boys and girls.
Wenger is a member of FIFA’s football and technical advisory groups in addition to serving as FIFA’s Chief of Global Football Development. In addition, he serves as the chairman of FIFA’s technical research committee. Wenger’s position also includes coaching education. According to Vision 2047, the AIFF envisions India as one of the top four football nations in Asia.
The 24-year plan has been divided into six four-year strategic programmes. The first of the six programmes, which will run until 2026, will attempt to enhance involvement at the grassroots level.
